Terms and Conditions of Cinnamon Sound Studio

Artist/Client Responsibility
All recording clients must abide by the conditions imposed in this contract.
Client agrees to the hourly rate set by Cinnamon Sound Studio. Block rates are available at additional savings. Block rates are to be paid in full prior to session beginning.
All Clients must pay a deposit to reserve session date and time, or purchase block hours. Deposit/block hour purchases are non refundable. Deposit will be applied toward session balance. In the unfortunate circumstance that the client(s) cannot be present on the pre-booked allotted time, then the initial deposit, or the block hour purchase, will be forfeited unless 48 hours notice is given.

Client is responsible for all monies due to the Studio and shall make payment (session balance) to the Studio before any scheduled recording session. Payments may be paid with cash, debit/credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or check. No CD’s or digital media shall be released to Client until Client is current with all payments that are owed to Cinnamon Sound Studio, excluding deposit.

Client agrees to be on time for scheduled session. If late, payment must be made from the scheduled session start time. Balance must be paid in full prior to beginning of session.
Client shall be responsible for any loss or damage to Studio property incurred by Client, employees of Client, guests of Client or agents of Client acting under Client instruction as a result of misuse, negligence and or carelessness.
Client will obtain permission/license for any sampled/copywritten material. Cinnamon Sound Studio is not responsible for any illegally sampled material or copyright infringement. Please go to www.copyright.gov for more information.
Cinnamon Sound Studio will be happy to arrange for the rental of special equipment/microphones as long as sufficient notice is given and the Client understands that they will be responsible for payment and security of said equipment.
The rate quoted for the use of this studio includes the services of our designated engineer. Our engineer must be present during the recording and mix-down sessions at all times.

Client is responsible for the working order of their own equipment, and we reserve the right to refuse the use of equipment we believe to be in a dangerous condition.
The security of the Client’s own equipment shall be their own responsibility while in the Studio or on Studio property. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to Client’s equipment.
Cinnamon Sound Studio is not responsible for ANY property left on premises by Client, (other than recording media).
Client’s recording media, left on premises 30 days after completion of last recording session or service, shall become the property of Studio if all monies due to Studio have not been paid.
Cinnamon Sound Studio does not supply any beverages or food. You must supply your own.

Studio Responsibility:
Studio shall endeavor to secure all recording media owned by Client and left or stored on Studio premises, but is not responsible for loss or damage.
In the event of loss or damage of Client’s recording media due to willful negligence, Studio shall be responsible for replacement of no more than the value of the total replacement cost of the recorded media and studio time to date devoted to said recording media.

General Agreement:
Client agrees to be present during all mix-down sessions unless previously arranged hours have been agreed upon and paid for in advance by Client for mix to continue while Client is not present. Receipt of recording media from Cinnamon Sound Studio to Client is acknowledgement between both parties that the quality of all services rendered by Cinnamon Sound Studio is satisfactory to Client and shall release Cinnamon Sound Studio from any and all liability regarding said recording media and services rendered. If Client desires further recording/mixing/mastering, a new scheduled date and standard hourly rates will apply unless block hours have been arranged for.
Cinnamon Sound Studio is not responsible for any audio or midi sequence data that is lost due to electrical black outs during the recording session or hard drive failure.

Offline Storage Requirements:
Small projects will require you, the Client, to purchase portable hard drive, storage media, or a USB Flash Drive for offline project storage. Large projects will require you to purchase a large capacity external hard drive or Flash Drive for storage of your project. Cinnamon Sound Studio recommends a drive capacity of at least 40 Gigabytes.
The hard drive used must be new and unopened and can be purchased from any computer retailer. The hard drive you purchase is yours. Because of virus threats and accidental loss of data, do not remove the hard drive from its packaging prior to bringing it to the studio. Also, the hard drive or external media must remain in the possession of Cinnamon Sound Studio until your project is finished.

By scheduling a session and/or submitting a deposit:
Client agrees that they have read and accept the Terms and Conditions of Cinnamon Sound Studio, and agree to abide by them and any special conditions communicated to you.
Client accepts that an additional charge may be assessed for damage caused to the Studio, building, or immediate outside property through negligence or willful intent of the Client and/or its employees, agents, and guests.
You agree to the payment conditions.

These Terms and Conditions of business constitute the entire agreement between Client and Cinnamon Sound Studio and may not be modified, changed, or terminated in any way unless there is a written agreement signed by both parties.
